The fear of making the wrong decision comes from the belief that the universe will reward us for choosing “correctly” and punish us for choosing “wrongly”. It’s the belief that every crossroad has a single “right path” and infinite wrong ones, and that our task is to guess which one the universe prefers. This is not true. And once you realise this system doesn’t exist, the pressure begins to dissolve. Decisions stop feeling like tests and start becoming movements; ways of engaging with life instead of attempting to appease it.
