Shipping and returns

Production and delivery times

Every print is made to order. Studio-printed sizes ship in 2-3 working days; larger sizes printed by our partner studio ship in 5-10 working days. Each product page shows which applies. After dispatch, allow:

All orders are tracked. You’ll receive a tracking link by email when your order ships.

Packaging

• Prints up to A3 (fitting within 300 × 430 mm) ship flat in a rigid, board-backed envelope.
• Larger prints are rolled in tissue and shipped in a sturdy tube, rolled along the shorter side.
• Framed prints are glazed with shatter-resistant UV acrylic and ship in a custom box with corner protection and bubble wrap.

• Rural NZ addresses: add $6.
• Free shipping within New Zealand on unframed orders over $150.
• Several prints in one order ship together: we charge the highest-priced item’s shipping, plus $5 per extra print in New Zealand or $8 per extra print overseas.
• Huge prints with a long side over 1100 mm going overseas: add $20 (large tube).

Framed prints

Each framed print is packed by hand in its own box, with corner protection and wrapping. Every print is on a standard sheet, shown next to its size.

• Framing adds 3-5 working days before dispatch.
• A0 prints are sold unframed.

Customs and duties

• International orders may be charged import duties, taxes or handling fees by the destination country. These are set by that country, are not included in our prices or shipping, and are the buyer’s responsibility.
• Australia: most print orders arrive without extra charges.
• United States: low-value imports are no longer duty-free, so US buyers may pay duties and a carrier fee on delivery.
• UK and EU: buyers may pay VAT and a handling fee on delivery.
• If an order is refused or returned because import charges weren’t paid, we’ll refund the print price minus the original and return shipping.

Returns

• Change of mind: you can return an unframed print within 14 days of delivery for a refund of the print price.
• Prints must be unused and undamaged, in their original packaging. Signed, numbered prints are checked on arrival.
• You pay return postage, and we recommend a tracked service, as we can’t refund prints lost on the way back.
• Email rationalchaosbykmh@gmail.com before sending anything back, with your order number.
• Refunds are made to the original payment method within 5 working days of receiving the return. Original shipping isn’t refunded.
• Framed prints can’t be returned for change of mind.
• This doesn’t affect your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act.

Damaged or faulty prints

• If your print arrives damaged or with a printing fault, email rationalchaosbykmh@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery.
• Include your order number and clear photos of the print, the damage and the packaging (including the outside of the envelope or tube).
• We’ll send a free replacement as soon as it’s printed, or a full refund if you prefer. For minor damage we ask that the print be sent back to us at our cost. For significant damage, you won’t need to send the damaged print back unless we ask.
• Lost parcels: if tracking hasn’t moved for 10 working days (New Zealand) or 20 working days (overseas), get in touch and we’ll follow it up with the courier and replace or refund.
